Yaşka and Şatlyk singing to record the soundtrack of the film
The two singers Yaşka Hydyrow and Şatlyk Hallyew are workers in the excavation team of Victor Sarianidi. One morning standing on the top of a sand dune, shooting a long shot of the site, we heard them singing while they were working. We could not see them but the sound of their song was lingering throught the landscape. The same evening we asked them to sing for us.
